Areas of expertise:

  • Martin Knops is a past Chair of the Guild of Analytical Psychologists (G.A.P.) for which he is a training analyst and tutor, and he is a member of the UKCP and the IAAP.

  • As an Analytical Psychologist his work is based on the writings of C.G.Jung. The emphasis of G.A.P. is on working with symbolic imagery, the inner life and on the interface between spirituality and analytical psychology.

  • In organisations he works on personal and team development using Typology (MBTI Step 1 & 2) and profiling for recruitment using the OPQ32.

  • He is a lecturer and tutor in Humanitarian Action and Conflict at Oxford Brookes University.

  • He gives support for international Humanitarian Staff particularly in conflict areas. Since 1986 until August 2013 he was the in-house counsellor for Oxfam for which in the UK 2014 New Years Honours list Martin was awarded an OBE.
